OPINION

I love this song so much. It's one of their most distinctive songs, and you can hear Fujiwara really making use of his excellent voice. In terms of content, it reminds me of their other song "Voyager." It's like two people on different planets or satellites are broadcasting messages across space. They can't stay together but eventually their orbits will bring them close again. Also in case you were curious about fixed stars, they're stars that don't appear to move in the sky (the North Star, for example.) As for why the song is a quartet, I'm guessing that's a reference to the four members of BUMP OF CHICKEN.
